La Paz is a big city with a lot of people and many homes.
La Paz is a big city with a lot of people and many homes. It has a high altitude, recommend altitude pills. The city has varying heights, for instance you are going up and down a mountain to get to the other side of the city. When you are on top you can see the bowl with many many houses. There is a cable car to take you from the bottom of the mountain and one neighborhood to the top of the mountain to another neighborhood. There are several beautiful landscapes in La Paz. Valley of the moon, valley of the souls, etc... There is also a lot of shopping in the city.

An authentic South American large city still evolving.
An authentic South American large city still evolving. Everywhere you go you realized this is not for tourists, this is really a nation which has its own identity and you feel it in everything. If you don't speak Spanish then get ready to learn. People very friendly, and living history everywhere. Leave a day for the 2 hour trip to the jungle area for the La Senda Verde animal rescue area.

La Paz: A 3-day whirlwind!
La Paz: A 3-day whirlwind! Explored history on a city tour, felt the passion of a football match, embraced culture in El Alto markets, conquered fear on Death Road, and soared above in the teleférico. Bolivia's heart revealed in a compact, unforgettable adventure.

La Paz is in a unique situation, surrounded by the Andes.
La Paz is in a unique situation, surrounded by the Andes. Its cable car transport system is both practical and a spectacular treat for tourists. It is far better to use this than to use ground transport; the roads in the city are chaotic. The people are friendly and helpful, there are very good restaurants. From La Paz a traveller has access to amazing places to visit, from Lake Titicaca, at over 4000 metres above sea level, to the Yungas, which form part of the Amazonian basin forest system. You have to be careful to have a heart and blood-pressure check before visiting La Paz, as its altitude can be stressful for anyone with a heart condition. But I have been there on a number of occasions, and find it fascinating. The street life and the many local gifts based on alpaca and llama wool are two special features.

Unique setting of the city with striking views and snow...
Unique setting of the city with striking views and snow covered Illimany on the background. We had one day and spent it driving cable cars and celebrating St. John in the park.

The hotel and room were very pretty. It includes breakfast. they provide laundry services. The food is pretty good. The staff could be friendlier but they work every day so it is understandable but once you start having conversations they get better. I was able to do a early check-in and late check-out for a fee which it was reasonable. When I had to go on early tours, they can provide you with a take-out breakfast (nothing to fancy but it helps). It is centric to La Paz.
everything was amazing! the employers were so attentive and pending, always with an smile ready to help us with everything. the breakfast was delicious and cooked at home (eggs, juice of frutilla and a hot drink (coffe, tea,…))
Doña Rosa and José were the best hostess: we missed some papers in our bus to Uyuni and they accompanied, helped and called in all the process.
If you are going to La Paz, don’t doubt to go to the Anami Hotel.
The property is in a perfect location, rooms are clean and comfy, showers are hot and breakfast is pretty good!
We were particularly pleased with the Staff. Wendy (Day-time receptionist) was the kindest person we met in Bolivia, always helping us out for any issues we had, giving us great tips and just generally being the life and soul of this hotel. Thank you so much for everything, we’ll remember this stay for a long time!
We stayed here on four separate occasions and thoroughly enjoyed each stay.
Great location close to restaurants, the Witches Market and the Teleférico Morado cable car station.
The manager was very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
Able to store luggage at no cost while doing trips elsewhere in Bolivia
The staff were so so lovely and helpful to me when I was extremely sick during my stay at the hotel. They even went out and got me medicine as I was too ill to leave the room. The room is spacious, the shower is AMAZING (best I had in Bolivia) and the room has a heater too. it’s centrally located near the witches market.
Excellent location, cozy and comfortable It's idea for a person or couple. The location is central and easy to access to shopping centers, supermarket s etc. The attention of hosts is friendly, cordial and always available for any questions. I recommend this place for who wants to visit La Paz Bolivia.
Good location. Front desk staff and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful, all spoke English. Pool and hot tub were nice and warm. Breakfast had a nice selection of items, better than any other nice hotel we stayed at in Bolivia. Bed was very comfy. Shower was immediately hot and good pressure.
This is a hotel right in the middle of all amenities. Next door is restaurant/ s. The apartment i booked was huge with almost everything. I was solo, so it was a bit huge for me. La Paz is cold so the apartment was cold. They gave me a heater in the bedroom that was ok.
The decor embodies Bolivia. The location is perfect, although note the street will be loud st night. The staff is wonderful and accommodating. I arrived early in the morning before check in. I fell asleep on the couch and someone came and placed a wool blanket on me.
Lovely modern hotel in the south of La Paz. Just off a busy road but quiet. Lovely pool and hot tub! They were kind enough to pack us breakfast boxes since we were leaving earlier than breakfast started. Would definitely recommend.
We arrived early in the morning, they allowed us to check in early. Good value for money. Just next to wild rover which is the pick up point for Bolivia hop. Walkable distance to the blue and purple cable car station ~15mins.
+ The location is excellent at the heart of La Paz and at walking distance to most attractions.
+ The rooms are very clean, and the hotel staff are very helpful.
+ The property is beautiful and well maintained.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is unbeatable right on Linares street, close to the main sights of downtown La Paz as well to the Teleferico. Our room was large enough for two adults and clean.
Large rooms and bathroom. Unusually large bed (for three). Quiet. Great views from the windows. Best breakfast in Bolivia. Best tasting fried eggs, big variability of everything, they even had bacon and oats.
A very basic hotel but good value for the price. Breakfast was fine. The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. Best shower we've had in Bolivia. The location is great for exploring the city.
Nice rooftop restaurant with an incredible, good lunch for 20 bolivianos and breakfast if you pay 10-15 bolivianos more. very comfy beds with curtains, perfect for a good night sleep.
clean room with modern amenities that other hotels in bolivia don't have, like coffee maker. Always had tea and cookies out for guests. Very quiet for a city hotel.
Stayed one more night for our last day in La Paz. The hostel is centrally located near the witches market and steps away from the purple cable car station.
Great location, very clean and tranquil, and best bed in Bolivia! Sopacachi is a nice neighbourhood, lots of international food options and safe streets.
